PACKET PICKUP

Friday, August 22nd, 1:30pm - 6:30pm: TBK Bank, 259 W. 9th Street.

If you can't come Friday, your packet will be available at Ska Brewing on Saturday morning, 6:00 - 6:30am.

AID STATIONS

You will find aid stations approximately every two miles starting at mile 2.7.  Aid stations will provide water and Powerade.  They will also have first-aid bags and cell phones for emergencies.

The aid station near mile 8 will have bananas and other snacks.

SAFETY

The race course uses roads that have minimal vehicle traffic, especially on a Saturday morning.  However, please remain alert throughout the race, stay on the shoulder of the road, and obey instructions from course marshals.

Law enforcement will be in various locations along the course to alert vehicles to the race in progress.

DROP BAGS

Feel free to bring a bag to the start line.  Please mark your bag with your name and/or bib number.  It will be transported back to the finish line.  No valuables, please.  The bags will be unattended.

WEATHER

Average temperature at 8am in late August is 55 degrees.  Expect temperatures to reach 70 degrees by 10am and continue to rise as the morning progresses.  Use the aid stations and stay hydrated.  While thunder showers are common in August, they typically do not occur before noon.

RESULTS & AWARDS

Race results will be available in real time and posted at the finish line as well as on our website.

Top male and female finishers in each age group will receive prizes.

SPECTATOR LOCATIONS

There are several great spots along the course that have pullouts on the side of the road where you can park and watch the runners go by.

Please do NOT have your cheering section drive along the race course with you while you are running.

RACE TIMING

The race will be professionally timed with timing chips on your race bib.  Please ensure that your bib number is visible and on the front of your shirt, as this is the backup timing system in the unlikely event that your chip fails to register a time.

TIME LIMITS

We welcome runners of all abilities, and we offer a generous time limit of 3 hours 30 minutes.  This is roughly a 16 minute/mile pace.  If you are slower, you must carry your own water and a cell phone for emergencies as the aid stations will close before you arrive.

REFUNDS & TRANSFERS

As with most races, we are unable to offer refunds, transfers, or deferrals.  This is true regardless of the reason or circumstances for the request.

Homewood Suites is our official hotel partner for the race.  They are located just one block from Ska Brewing.  Use this link to our group block for discounted room rates.  Or call them and mention group name "Thirsty 13" when making your reservation.
